The Californian alternative rock band Cake returns after six years, making “Showroom of Compassion”(Upbeat Records), its latest album under the sign of vintage suggestions which will be released on 11th January 2011, recorded in a Sacramento entirely solar-powered studio, built by the band. A laudable ethical idea making concrete the value of independence and respect for enviroment, strongly asserted by the front-man of Cake John McCrea telling: “We’re making our own electricity to produce our own music and videos, and no one can stop us, not a power company, not a record company”.
