“PABLO ECHAURREN | CRHOMO SAPIENS”AT ROME FOUNDATION MUSEUM

It will be opened on 18^th December 2010 in Rome at Palazzo Cipolla, Rome Foundation Museum, “Pablo Echaurren | Crhomo Sapiens”, a retrospective – curated by Nicoletta Zanella – telling about the over 40-year artistic career of Pablo Ecchaurren – son of famous Surrealist Chile painter Sebastiàn Matta -, eclectic artist who is painter, sculptor, graphic designer, author of comics, illustrator of underground magazines and celebrated books – as “Pigs have wings”(Savelli editions), celebrated sexual-political diary written during the Seventies by two teenagers Rocco and Antonia, as well as a magnificent work he made, the graphic novel “Vestire il futuro”, standing as “Dressing the future”(edited by the “Eco di Biella” magazine along with the City of Biella), telling about the Futurist fashion -, a bright, sweet and kind individual. The exhibition – which will be held until 13^th March 2011 – showcases over 200 hundred works, depicting the suggestions featuring in the poetry of artist, including Futurism – avant-garde of whose the artist owns a wide collection of manifestos -, Surrealism suggestions, pop-art as well as the rock music – a bright evidence is the painting depicting “The Ramones” – successfully overlapping, creating a suggestive and unique artistic language, making the artist one of my favourite Italian contemporary artists. A not to be missed event to explore and enjoy the vibrant creativity of Pablo Echaurren.

Sarà inaugurata il 18 dicembre 2010 a Roma press il Palazzo Cipolla, Museo della Fondazione Roma, “Pablo Echaurren | Crhomo Sapiens”, una retrospettiva – curata da Nicoletta Zanella – che racconta la carriera artistica di oltre quaranta anni di Pablo Ecchaurren – figlio del famoso pittore surrealista cileno Sebastiàn Matta -, eclettico artista che è pittore, scultore, grafico, autore di fumetti illustratore di riviste d’avanguardia, libri – quali “Porci con le ali”(Savelli editions), celebre diario sessuo-politico scritto durante gli anni Settanta da due teenager, Rocco and Antonia, come anche una magnifica opera da lui realizzata, la storia a fumetti “Vestire il futuro”(edita dal giornale “Eco di Biella” unitamente al Comune di Biella) che racconta la moda futurista -, una brillante, dolce e gentile individualità. La mostra – che si terrà fino al 13 marzo 2011 – espone più di 200 opere che dipingono le suggestioni protagoniste della poetica dell’artista, includono il futurismo – avanguardia di cui l’artista possiede un’ampia collezione di manifesti -, il surrealismo, la pop-art come anche la musica rock – di cui una brillante dimostrazione è il dipinto che rappresenta i “Ramones” – che felicemente si sovrappongono, creando un unico e suggestivo linguaggio artistico che rende l’artista uno dei miei artisti contemporanei italiani preferiti. Un evento imperdibile per esplorare e apprezzare la vibrante creatività di Pablo Echaurren.
