30th October there will be a book launch in Milan at the Biblioteca della Moda, at 6:30 pm, the book “D.V.”, autobiography by the legendary Diana Vreeland (Donzelli Editions 18.00 Euros), featuring Maria Luisa Frisa, who recently curated the exhibition “Diana Vreeland after Diana Vreeland” at the Venice Fortuny Museum, documented by a smashing catalogue (Marsilio Editions, 34.00 Euros) along with Benedetta Barzini, Natalia Aspesi and Marta Donzelli. There will be a premier of part of Lisa Immordino Vreeland’s “Diana Vreeland: the empress of fashion” which will also include Inge Feltrinelli, renowned publisher of whose company Feltrinelli Real Cinema will distribute the documentary in the cinemas which will be also available in DVD. A not to be missed happening that lets you enter into the legend that is Diana Vreeland and as well hear commentary from the celebrated personalities in fashion, journalism and culture that had the pleasure of knowing her.

Il 30 ottobre si terrà la presentazione di un libro a Milano presso la Biblioteca della Moda, alle ore 18:30, il libro “D.V.”, autobiografia della leggendaria Diana Vreeland (Donzelli Editore 18.00 Euro) di cui sarà protagonista Maria Luisa Frisa, che ha recentemente curato la mostra “Diana Vreeland after Diana Vreeland” presso il Museo Fortuny di Venezia, documentata da un formidabile catalogo (Marsilio Editore, 34.00 Euro) unitamente a Benedetta Barzini, Natalia Aspesi e Marta Donzelli. Sarà presentata in anteprima una parte di “Diana Vreeland: l’ imperatrice della moda” di Lisa Immordino Vreeland che includerà anche Inge Feltrinelli, rinomata editrice la cui azienda Feltrinelli Real Cinema distribuirà il documentario nei cinema che sarà disponibile anche in DVD. Un evento imperdibile che consente di entrare all’ interno della leggenda che Diana Vreeland é e inoltre ascoltare i racconti delle celebri personalità di moda, giornalismo e cultura che hanno avuto il piacere di conoscerla.
The work of legendary style guru Diana Vreeland, celebrated fashion editor of Harper’s Bazaar, editor-in-chief of Vogue and consultant of the New York Metropolitan Museum of the Art Costume Institute, features in the book “Diana Vreeland: the eye has to travel”(Abrams, 55.00 $) by Lisa Immordino Vreeland – who married Diana Vreeland’s grandson Alexander and recently produced the documentary film bringing the same name of book, premiered during the latest edition of Venice International Film Festival – telling by photos took by famous photographers as Richard Avedon and Irving Penn about a visionary individual who influenced the way of perceive fashion, reinventing the role of contemporary fashion editor of whose I like reminding an assertion – pearl of wisdom – concerning elegance: “the only real elegance is in the mind; if you’ve got that, the rest really comes from it”.
